"I have no idea what I'm doing. Still, it can't be that difficult."
Famous last words.
When life in the city got to be too crazy, my husband and I decided to take our gaggle of children and move far, far away. Our goal was to slow down, simplify, reduce the chaos of daily life. What better place to do so than the country? Life on the farm. Sounds idyllic.
Now, I am a city girl, born and raised. That said, I always felt a bit out of step with city life. I think somehow, I've always been a country girl at heart. The trouble is that, until now, "roughing it" meant staying at a four-star resort where the sommelier was a bit iffy with his wine selections, and you had to carry your own towel to the beach.
So, here we are, down on the farm.
